A Murder Of Crows

There are so many different collective nouns that all mean "group" but which are specific to a particular thing.

ooooh, thanks! I've always loved this idiosyncracy of the English language!

There are so many words for cats, too:

clowder of cats
clutter of cats
glaring of cats
pounce of cats
dout of cats (house cats)
nuisance of cats (house cats)
kendle of cats (kittens)
kindle of cats (kittens)
litter of cats (kittens)
destruction of cats (wild cats)

hehehe, if I dare call my kitties a "nuisance of cats", they'll quickly turn to a "glaring of cats"! ;)
