That's really scary, in a there but for the grace of God go I kind of way. I often think about how anyone's life can go dramatically wrong in a flash, through sheer bad luck/circumstances. This year, with my current debt load (which will be pretty much all cleared in March 07), I'm thinking more and more about how dependent I am on my job _and_ my freelance. If I were to lose one or the other right now... brrr! (mind you, thankfully I've got translator friends in other companies who could probably get me a job, so I am fortunate, but even a few weeks of being without a job could be serious for me right now, especially since I'm divorced)

See, I was thinking just the opposite. That in a few years I could be riding a shooting star to glory and wealth, so I'll try not to think to hard about the lack of things today.

Oh, it's not the lack of things today that worries me, it's the "what if I couldn't pay my bills? What if I go bankrupt?" that's on my mind (next March the worries will all be gone, I'll be fine either with just a full-time job or just the freelance, even if I buy a house). The next 12 months are kinda crucial for me, financially-wise. But as long as I can keep my job and my freelance, it's all good. :)
