The Cannes Film Festival has officially opened. The stars have ceremoniously climbed the legendary stairs, opening this 58th edition of the Festival. The entire jury made its appearance, led by its chairman, Emir Kusturica. He and jury members Nandita Das, Salma Hayek, Toni Morrison, Agnès Varda, Javier Bardem, Fatih Akin, Benoît Jacquot and John Woo saluted the crowd.
