He Thinks God Speaks To Him

When President Bush signed the reauthorization of the USA Patriot Act this month, he included an addendum saying that he did not feel obliged to obey requirements that he inform Congress about how the FBI was using the act's expanded police powers.

No President has ever used the addendum to nullify or re-write legislation before, it has always been used to provide practical implimentation to vague or to broad language. He is attempting to be a facsist dictator, I am TRUELY concerned he may try to "suspend" elections.

Our new right wing prime minister has just banned reporters from the 3rd floor of the Parliament (where they traditionally used to hang out and talk with MPs and ministers), has threatened to hold cabinet meetings in secret, and not to divulge even basic information about visits from foreign dignitaries and such... And it's just the beginning. :(
